Here are the events on the schedule for August and September 2025.


Aug. 7-9, 2025 - Contemporary Longrifle Association Show & Meeting, Central Bank Center, 430 W. Vine St., Lexington, Kentucky 40507. Aug. 7-10, 2025 - Seneca Muzzleloaders Fun-de-Vous, Sandusky River Coon Hunters grounds, 7575 TR 131, Tiffin, Ohio 44883. Contact Rob Gerding, 419-341-8657, robbob@hush.com, Facebook page. Primitive dress is welcome, but shorts and a T-shirt is the usual dress for this event. Otherwise, it's a rendezvous with black powder shoots, archery, hawk and knife and other competitions. Saturday evening potluck. Camp fee $25. Setup after 2 p.m. Thursday and all day Friday.
 
Aug. 7-10, 2025 - West Virginia Boys Rendezvous, 3008 W. South Range Road, Columbiana, Ohio 44408. Contact Facebook page. Camp fee $20 per camp. Provide your own water. Trail walks, for rifle, archery and hawk & knife. Camp feed Saturday; provide a side dish.

Aug. 9-10, 2025 - 18th-Century Colonial Trade Fair at the Mill, Wolf Creek Grist Mill Museum, 3175 SR 3 South, Loudonville, Ohio 44842. Aug. 9-10, 2025 - Napoleonic Days 1799–1815, Old Fort Wayne, 1201 Spy Run Ave., Fort Wayne, Indiana. Contact 260-437-2836. Reenactor, sutler, demonstrator applications at oldfortwayne.org/get-involved/reenactor-registration. Public hours 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.

Honors veterans and first responders from 1812 to present. Military reenactments, vehicles and displays. Living history camp, twilight demonstrations, skirmishes and demos.

Aug. 15-17, 2025 - Galesburg Heritage Days, Lake Storey Park, Galesburg, Illinois. Early setup starts at 8 a.m. Aug. 14. Pre-1840 Early American Colonial/Frontier Rendezvous and Civil War Battle Encampment/ Reenactment at two separate, but close, venues at the park. Event includes almost 1,000 visual storytellers, reenactors, merchants and sutlers. Free public admission. Rendezvous fee $25 per camp and $50 per trader. Civil War camp fee is $10 per person ages 16 and older. 

Aug. 22-24, 2025, and Aug. 29-Sept. 1, 2025 - Great Trail Festival, festival grounds, SR 43, Malvern, Ohio. Contact 330-794-9100, www.greattrailfestival.com, Facebook page. Reenactors, musicians, blanket traders and buckskinning families by invitation and inquiry. Cannon firing, tomahawk contest, battle reenactments, French Quarter and participant dinner. Public hours 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day.
 
Aug. 22-24 - Rendezvous on the Kankakee, Fort Tassinong, 176 W 1000 S, Kouts, Indiana 46347. Contact Bill Ames, billsames.wa@gmail.com, 219-869-9919. Blanket shoot Saturday ($25 prize). Primitive and modern camping (no hookups). Prize for best primitive camp as voted by participants. Potluck Saturday evening.

(New event) Aug. 23-24, 2025 - Battle for Billie Creek, 65 S. Billie Creek Road, Rockville, Indiana 47872. Mid-18th-century event featuring demonstrations from period civilians, military personnel, traders, crafters and others. Battle demonstration, vendors, crafts, food expected. Public hours 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Admission $10 for ages 11 and older, $7 for ages 6-10.

Aug. 29-Sept. 1, 2025 - Fort Rowdy Gathering, Covington Community Park, 140 W. Broadway, Covington, Ohio. Contact Kari Hollis, 937-570-8548, khollis311@gmail.com, Facebook page. Rendezvous and community festival along the Stillwater River, connected by a 209-foot-long portable footbridge. Free live entertainment on both sides of the river. Archery, hawk & knife, atlatl, fire starting, Highland games. Donations for fundraiser auction appreciated.

Aug. 29-Sept. 1, 2025 - Greene County Fish & Game Labor Day Rendezvous, 1538 Union Road, Xenia, Ohio 45385. Contact Brian Lavery, 937-241-8327, Facebook page. Camp fee $20 per family; $15 per single; $10 for walk-in shooter. No extra fee for traders. Competitions include shoots, archery, hawk & knife, pastry toss.

Aug. 29-Sept. 1, 2025 - Fall Rendezvous, Ball & Arrow Primitive Weapons Club Inc., 5190 Days Lane NE, New Philadelphia (Roswell), Ohio 44663. Sponsored by George Rogers Clark Heritage Association. Invitation-only, juried event. Time period 1790-1812. Friday school day. Entertainment, food, taverns, craftsmen, Woodland Indian village, military encampment, children’s games and puppets, music, street entertainers, shopping. Learn dance steps from 1800. Battle reenactment each day.

Download registration form at www.lymevillage.org. Set up after noon Thursday or after 2:30 Friday. Student Day Friday. Camp fee $5 per person ages 13 and older if registered by July 1; $10 thereafter. Sutler/vendor fee $35 before July 1, but may be waived if participate in Student Day Friday. After July 1, sutler fee is $50. Saturday meal provided with reservations.

Sept. 5-7, 2025 - Jennings Creek Council Fall Rendezvous, Camp Clay, 9196 Liberty Union Road, Van Wert, Ohio 45891. Contact Sharon Curl, lscurl4645@yahoo.com. Pre-registration appreciated, but not required. Camp fee $25, which covers two adults and children. Additional adults $10 each. Setup after 2 p.m. Thursday. School day Friday. Competitions include rifle, smoothbore, archery, hawk & knife, Seneca run. Cash prizes. Junior aggregate. Camp meal Saturday evening; take along a dessert to share. Wooded and open camp sites. Showers. Flush toilets. Fishing and swimming in the pond. No pets. Open to public 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
 
Sept. 5-7, 2025 - Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial's Historic Weekend, 93 Delaware Ave., Put-in-Bay, Ohio. Commemorates the Battle of Lake Erie with ceremony, parade, historic weapons demonstrations, trade demonstrations. Reenactors portray U.S. Army, Navy (Marines), militia, Crown forces, indigenous forces, camp followers and traders, all from the War of 1812. Friday setup. Camp is open and demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday.

Sept. 12-14, 2025 - Long Run Massacre, Red Orchard Park, 704 Kentucky St. Shelbyville, Kentucky 40065. Hosted by The Painted Stone Settlers. Juried Revolutionary War event, 1770-1785, telling the story of Squire Boone’s station and an impending Indian attack. Friday school day. Saturday public day 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Scouts visit Saturday morning to see the 20 stations from Friday's school day. 2 p.m. reenactment of the 1781 event that history calls the Long Run Massacre and Floyd’s Defeat. Saturday night feast. Sunday church service.

History-related programs on the Chippeway Village stage and Hillside Amphitheater stage, muzzleloading shoots, authenticity competitions for camps, booths and participant clothing, demonstrations of traditional crafts and skills, Indian and pioneer dancing, canoe rides.
