Here's the first list of living history events for 2026. These are dates I've been able to verify so far. If you have dates confirmed for your 2026 event, please email information to Vicki@ReenactorChronicles.com to be added to the list.


Jan. 14-25, 2026 - Alafia River Rendezvous, 1000 Old Fort Meade Road, Homeland, Florida. Mailed pre-registration must be postmarked by Dec. 1 (2025). Visit www.alafiariverrendezvous.org or contact Sherri Cox, 321-536-2438, registrar@alafiariverrendezvous.org, Facebook page. Early registration fee is $70 per person. No pets. Competitions include shoots, hawk & knife, archery. Also seminars, games and entertainment.


Jan. 17-18, 2026 - Sons of Liberty Indoor Trade Fair, Canters Cave 4-H Camp, 1362 Caves Road, Jackson, Ohio. For dealer information, contact Norman Garringer, 740-773-3891. Period vendors selling pre-1890 wares. Vendors must be in period dress. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. $30 per table space for vendors. Setup is 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, or if necessary, 7-9 a.m. Saturday. Public admission is $4 per person.


Jan. 23-25, 2026 - Frostbite Rendezvous, Ball & Arrow Primitive Weapons Club, 5190 Days Lane, New Philadelphia, Ohio. Contact Glenn, 740-381-8548, or Troy, 330-432-8939, Facebook page. Camp fee $10, which includes one shoot fee. Additional shooters are $10 each and $15 blanket prize required. Potluck Saturday night; meat provided. Provide your own drinking water.


Feb. 6-7, 2026 - 18th Century Artisan Show, Carlisle Expo Center, Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Contact Eric Fleisher at 717-275-2667, Facebook page. Juried event with about 150 tables of 1750-1850 artisans. Open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Admission $10.


Feb. 7-8, 2026 - Michigan Antique Arms Collectors Inc., Madison Place Events Center, 876 Horace Brown Drive, Madison Heights, Michigan 48071. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Members admitted at 8 a.m. Admission fee $8.


March 13-21, 2026 - Southwestern Regional Rendezvous, Prescott, Arkansas. Camp fees if postmarked by Feb. 11 are $30 ages 13 and older, $10 ages 12 and younger, $25 for mug, $15 per medallion, $70 for trader. Trader fees include one adult. Add $10 to adult and trader fees after that date. Early setup March 10-12. Long term and short term camp, modern camp. Public days March 14 and 21. Competitions include shoots, archery, hawk & knife, cooking contest, Highland games, kids' games, seminars.


March 21-22, 2026 - 50th Annual Kalamazoo Living History Show, Kalamazoo County Expo Center, 2900 Lake St., Kalamazoo, Michigan. The largest juried show in the Midwest devoted to pre-1890 original or reproduction living history supplies, accoutrements and related crafts. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission $9 one day or $13 for weekend pass.


March 26-29, 2026 - Old Virginia Primitive Rendezvous, Surry, Virginia. Contact Steve Sneed, ssneed1840@gmail.com, or Julie Garrett, ovprscribe@gmail.com, Facebook page. Visit www.ovpr2.org for info and registration form. Camp fee for adults ages 18 and older. Early setup starts the weekend before the event with additional fee of $10 per person. Competitions include woods walk, ladies match, juniors match, pistol match, archery, scribe's match, hawk & knife, smoothbore. Social events include court, ladies social, children’s games, potluck dinner, and Friday/Saturday evenings at the Spider Web Inn.


April 9-12, 2026 - School of the Longhunter, Pricketts Fort, 88 State Park Road, Fairmont, West Virginia 26554. Contact 304-363-3030 or register at www.prickettsfort.org/register.html. Space is limited and registration is required. Fee (2025) is $45 for members/$55 for non-members. Intense weekend of instruction, exploring the role of early frontiersmen on the American frontier. Speakers focus on frontier skills of the longhunter.

(New indoor show) April 11-12, 2026 - Old Northwest Trade Fair, Kuhlman Center, Wayne County Fairgrounds, 861 Salisbury Road, Richmond, Indiana. Contact Steve and Roxann McFarland, mcfamily788@yahoo.com or 337-764-1994. Pre-1840 indoor trade show. Spaces (10x10) available for $20 per day, or $40 for both days. Non-refundable deposit of $40 is required by Jan. 30. Vendors are asked to dress in period clothing. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.

June 27-28, 2026 - Encampment at the Confluence, Pontiac Park Defiance, Ohio. Contact Taylor Moyer, 419-906-1660 or message on Facebook page. Dedicated to life in the Maumee River Valley circa 1770 through the War of 1812. Living historians, reenactors and demonstrators welcome. Situated on the bank of the Maumee River at the site of Native villages and overlooking the historic grounds of Fort Defiance and Fort Winchester. In collaboration with Riverfest and Art in the Park.


July 10-18, 2026 - Rocky Mountain National Rendezvous, Soward Ranch, Creede, Colorado. Sept. 18-20, 2026 - Fall Rendezvous, Ball & Arrow Primitive Weapons Club Inc., 5190 Days Lane NE, New Philadelphia (Roswell), Ohio 44663.
