March 1-2, 2025 - Old Town Trade Fair, Assembly Hall, Greene County Fairgrounds, 120 Fairground Road, Xenia, Ohio. Contact Tim and Sharon Milligan, stitchersm@aol.com, 937-857-9745 or Facebook page. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. Admission $4 per person; children 11 and younger free. Food available on site. Reenactors, dealers, collectors, educators, craftsmen and history buffs welcome. Wares must 1700-1890 originals or reproductions.

 

(Rescheduled from January) March 1-2, 2025 - Thunder Creek Long Rifles Wintervous, Bear Wallow Road near Martinsville, Indiana. Contact thundercreek1972@gmail.com, Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/thundercreeklongrifles. Wintervous takes place in a cabin. Shoot Sunday. Participants should provide their own water, food and beverages. Pre-1840 attire is required, but modern footwear is acceptable for weather conditions.

 

March 15-16, 2025 - Kalamazoo Living History Show, Kalamazoo County Expo Center, 2900 Lake St., Kalamazoo, Michigan. Sponsored by Yankee Doodle Muzzle Loaders Inc. The largest juried show in the Midwest devoted to pre-1890 original or reproduction living history supplies, accoutrements and related crafts. Open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Admission $9 one day or $13 for weekend pass.

 

April 5-6, 2025 - Fort de Chartres Colonial Market Faire, Les Amis du Fort de Chartres, Prairie du Rocher, Illinois 62277. Public hours 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday.

 

April 10-13, 2025 - School of the Longhunter, Prickett's Fort, 88 State Park Road, Fairmont, West Virginia, 26554. Contact 304-363-3030 or register at www.prickettsfort.org/register.html. Space is limited and registration is required. Fee is $40 for members/$45 for non-members. Intense weekend of instruction, exploring the role of early frontiersmen on the American frontier. Speakers focus on frontier skills of the longhunter.

April 25-26, 2025 - Grassy Run Heritage Rendezvous, Grassy Run Historical Arts Committee, Cook Log Cabin Heritage Center, 6707 Goshen Road, Goshen, Ohio 45122. 1760-1840 event. Saturday public day. Blacksmiths, ropemakers, woodworkers, music, sutlers. Hands-on activities for children in the Lock, Stock and Barrel educational area.

 

April 25-27, 2025 - Spring Thaw Rendezvous, Ball & Arrow Primitive Weapons Club, 5190 Days Lane, New Philadelphia, Ohio. Camp fee $25, which includes first trip through the woodswalk, hawk & knife and archery trail for one shooter. Re-entry is available. Additional shooters in each camp are $15 each for adults and $10 for ages 12-15. The fee for walk-in shooters is $15. Primitive dress is required. New this year will be an archers “smoker” round, which has an additional entry fee and no re-entry. Public day is 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Provide your own drinking water.

 

April 25-27, 2025 - Stump Bluff Militia Spring Rendezvous, 1124 Reece Hurt Road, Edmondton, Kentucky 42129. Shoot fee $15, plus $25 blanket prize. Smoothbore, rifle, hawk & knife. Saturday evening potluck; meat provided. Open to public until 7 p.m. No admission fee. Pets must be on leash.

April 26-27, 2025 - Ashville Ohio Reenactment Timeline/Grove of Heroes, 165 Walnut St., Ashville, Ohio 43103. In the Grove of Heroes visitors can learn how weapons developed and what maneuvers carry forward to today’s soldiers. Also, information on foods, medicine, clothing development and recreation. Encampment is adjacent to the Saxon Market shopping, food and entertainment.

National/Regional Events:


March 7-16, 2025 - Southwestern Regional Rendezvous, Dead Horse Creek, Aquilla, Texas 76622. Contact Chris Coffey, 817-807-0829, or Teresa Rawle, 940-210-2012. Camp fees if postmarked by Feb. 7 are $30 ages 13 and older, $5 ages 12 and younger, $25 for mug, $15 per medallion, $75 for trader and $50 for blanket trader. Trader fees include one adult. Add $10 to adult and trader fees after that date. Early setup March 5-6. Long term and short term camp, modern camp. Public days March 8-9 and 15. Competitions include shoots, archery, hawk & knife, cooking contest, Highland games, kids' games, seminars, camp feast, drinkable pie and shrub contests.

 

March 27-30, 2025 - Old Virginia Primitive Rendezvous, Surry, Virginia. Social events include court, ladies social, children’s games, potluck dinner, and Friday/Saturday evenings at the Spider Web Inn.
