New indoor trade show planned for April 11-12 in Richmond, IN

Four Hearts Trading Company is planning a new pre-1840 indoor trade show – the Old Northwest Trade Fair – for April 11-12, 2026, in Richmond, Indiana.

The show location is the Kuhlman Center on the Wayne County Fairgrounds, 861 Salisbury Road, Richmond, which is east of the Ohio border, about 40 miles east of Dayton. The site is within a 100-mile radius of Columbus, Ohio; Cincinnati; Fort Wayne; and Indianapolis with access from I-70 and , Indiana. Easy access from Interstate 70 east and west bound.

 

In a letter to potential vendors of pre-1840 goods, coordinators Steve and Roxann McFarland said booth space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are 70 10x10 spaces available for $20 per day, or $40 for both days. Vendors are asked to dress in period clothing.

 

Vendor setup will be Friday, and the McFarlands said there is a large overhead door for easy access. Tables and chairs will be available on request for "a nominal fee."

 

The show will be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday. Food service is planned throughout the event.

 

Overnight accommodations include multiple motels. The McFarlands said Comfort Suites and Baymont Inn are offering discounted rates for vendors. Mention the Old Northwest Trade Fair to receive the discount.

 

There are a limited number of RV campsites at the site with 50-amp hook-ups and water for $30 per night. Contact the Wayne County Fair Grounds at 765-935-6291 to make arrangements.
